Privacy policy

This policy explains what IVARA (“IVARA”, “we”) collects when you use ivarafoods.com or order from us, why, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email, phone number, delivery address and what you bought. Payment details are entered on our checkout provider’s secure page; we never see or store your card or UPI credentials.
• When you contact us: what you write in a form, email or WhatsApp message, and the contact details you give.
• When you sign up for our letter or fill in our feedback survey: your email and your answers.
• On this website: your cart and saved items are kept in your own browser so they’re there when you come back. We also use basic, privacy-friendly visit statistics (pages viewed, device type) to improve the site.

Why we use it

• To take payment, pack and deliver your order, and send order and delivery updates.
• To answer your questions and handle returns or refunds.
• To run our Loyalty Club (counting apples against your orders).
• To send our monthly letter, only if you ask for it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To meet legal duties such as tax and accounting records.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for anything you wouldn’t expect from a small food shop.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the shop, each bound to protect your data:

• Shopify, which runs our checkout, order records and customer accounts.
• Our payment provider (such as Razorpay), which processes payments.
• Delivery partners, who need your name, phone and address to deliver.
• Vercel, which hosts this website, and Google, for our forms and survey.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires (usually eight years). Messages and survey answers are kept for as long as they’re useful to serve you, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where the law allows.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw consent for marketing, or raise a complaint. Write to contact@ivarafoods.com or WhatsApp +91 87080 95514. We reply within 7 days.
